Episode 2: Christmas Is Love Made Visible
Featuring: Roshanak Lashkari
1 John 4:9
This is how God showed his love among us. He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
When we think of love, we often think of a feeling. Something warm. Something emotional. But when the Bible talks about love, it does not begin with emotion. It begins with action. John says that God showed His love by sending His Son.
At Christmas, God did not just say, I love you. He showed it. He stepped into our world in the most humble way possible. A baby. A manger. Real history. Real life.
Roshanak shared that she did not grow up with Christmas. She believed in God, but not in a God who would come close like this. The idea that God would enter our world, our weakness, our humanity, and make His love visible in a person was completely new to her.
But that is what Christmas is about. The God who made the stars did not stay distant. He came into the messiness of our story so that we would know His heart.
If you want to know how God feels about you, look at Jesus.
Love becomes visible in Him.
Love welcomes.
Love heals and restores.
Love gives itself fully for us.
And John reminds us why He came. So that we might live through Him. His love not only comforts us, it changes us. It gives us a new identity, a new way of living, and a relationship with God that is close and real.
Christmas is God saying, You do not have to guess who I am. I have already come to you.
Jesus is God with us. Love made visible.
